Nothing makes your Android yours more so than the wallpaper you choose. Impress your neighbours, give your Android portable the look of Android 4.4 KitKat. Means install the official 4.4 wallpaper.
DL:
The process involved in changing your wallpaper is very simple and take just a few steps.
• Put the downloaded image into Android's Gallery folder
• Press Android's Menu key. This will bring up a list of options that will include a shortcut labeled "Wallpaper."
• Tap Wallpaper. Your screen will show the three wallpaper options you have to choose from.
• Choose from Gallery: Choosing "Gallery" will bring you to your saved images and photographs.
• Tap the Set Wallpaper button once you decide on your new wallpaper.
Once you set your wallpaper, you will be brought back to the main screen where you will be able to admire your new, customized look of your Android device's appearance.
Sweet lol
When you do things right, people won't be sure that you have done anything at all
we're all really waiting for the chikito and polly waffle versions.

I can't wait for the Kit Kat to come to my phone either.
I wonder how long it will take for them to be forced to change the name due to copyright infringement.

Oh wow, I had heard of the name previously but didn't think it was true! KitKat eh. Why does that make me want to try an Android device even more!? Chocolate should not have any bearing on my technology choices..
Throw away phones will have ChooChoo Bar version LOL? It's a popular cheap licorice chewy bar for threepence in the 70's made famous by Paul Hogan
But more informative How to remove Hangouts and more Android 4.4 KitKat apps

I tried it weeks ago lots of changes even the keypad etc. I didn't like it at all also it was battery hungry, sync issues, goggle search issues, lock screen issues etc.
revert back to Jelly bean. might wait for android milkshake.

Stable versions are already available for many phones and tablets from the Cyanogenmod project.
The official 4.4 Google version has been ported as a clean version for the S4 and Nexus already.
Most of the issues mentioned had been addressed with the latest 4.4.2 updates, but since everything is set to default after flashing it makes sense to check the settings.
Things like gesture control and face tracking might be fine, same for being able to use all sorts of mobile networks, but if you don't need it you can save heaps on battery power by disabling those features.
After all if you do need them it is easy to get them back on quickly.
For example my S4 was dead flat after only 26 hours - most of wich in standby with only a few minutes of gaming to test some games.
Even after disabling all unused features I only made it to about 30 hours.
As I don't use a data plan I disabled all network services except GSM - the result was a bit over 2 days of standby.
Removing some of the annoying background processes that don't use either added another few hours.
With 4.4 same story - by default it chews up the battery pretty quick although not as bad as on 4.3, which was a pain anyway.

I'm very excited! I'm going to have to get around to installing it right now!
I can't wait for either Paranoid Android or AOKP to update for the old Nexus 7. I love it's new design, some nice lighter colors than the dark greys and blacks from ICS.
I wonder what the next version of Android will be called. Maybe Lollipop, or Licorice. Lemon Meringue Pie?
