If I recall right when you plug a USB drive into a xbox1 it will format it to it's own file system and use it as a memory card. No good for transferring files around.

cheers

yes you can
i've been using a homemade xbox controller plug to usb socket to flash the tsop of v1.0-1.5 model xbox's since the 007 exploit was released
search google for "xbox to usb cable" for various DIY plans
ebay has some as well
regards...
you also need to investigate which thumb drives work on xbox as not all do!

The USB flash drive (USB key-drives/memory-keys) reader/writer class used by XBMC currently has a few limitations as well. It is limited to USB flash drives and harddisks compatible with USB Mass Storage Device Class following the USB 1.1 standard, with a maximum size of 4GB. It can read and write to FATX formatted flash drives, but can only read FATs FAT12, FAT16 (including VFAT), and FAT32. NTFS formatted drives are not supported yet.
The cheap rindisk 2.0 2gb and 4gb usb flash drives work great on the xbox with the proper cable.
very good, thanks for the info
