OSIRUS (02-10-13)
Me wife has Netflix on ipad, works great.
We have unblockus installed at home.
Can you install something on the ipad, that will allow it to work on any internet connection. I'm assuming that the only reason it works is via our internet connection. (even though I haven't physically changed any settings on my modem)

Something must have been changed if Netflix is working. You say you have unblockus installed at home....installed on what ?
Did you change the DNS on the iPad, that is what i did to get it working via WiFi on the iPhone.
(same process as i did to get it working on my laptop)

If u want to go on an expedition get a Land Rover, if u want to come home from an expedition get a Landcruiser!
Yep, it would not work unless that was done or the DNS was changed on the router so some change must have been made.
But back to his question, when I was using Unotelly instead of Unblockus I used their VPN for watching Netflix on my phone when I was not at home (Uno Gold package has DNS solution same as unblock us plus bonus VPN). It worked fine on my Samsung Galaxy S3 when I was bored waiting for appointments etc
Hmmm, yes I have changed the dns settings on the ipad, as I have a Telstra modem, where I can't change the settings.
Must look into this vpn, as if I'm assuming correct it'll mean no matter where I am I'll be able to connect via anyones wifi.
I did it via my 3G connection on the iPhone, by using a 3rd party tethering app and then connecting via WiFi (with the DNS changes) to that tether (all on the one device).
If that makes any sense in your situation.
(But as the DNS service was locked to my IP, i guess its not going to work in your situation of using other peoples WiFi)

If Netflix keep making the changes mentioned in another thread, the only option to view it will be with a VPN as they are bringing in stricter checking with DNS solutions.
