Default MS admits that MSE is least effective anti-virus program

It appears that MS have decided to relegate their security essentials offering to a 'just better than nothing at all' solution. Time to change for anyone relying on it for protection.

Nahh but plenty of people think that it is a great product. I use more mainstream products that I try to get for free from bank offers etc

I moved from Avast (free) to MSE(free) a while ago thinking I was doing the right thing.

Looks like I might need to do a full turn around?

I still rum Malwarebytes and Spybot though.

    Thanks for the info...

I stopped using it quite a while ago after some nasties jumped through.

It really isnt a big outlay these days to buy a quality product. Just jump on ebay
