    Default Foxtel GO on Android

At present I am using laptops to watch Foxtel in other rooms in my house via Foxtel GO.
I'm thinking of getting one of just to save on space.

Does anyone have any experiance using these types of items ??

    cheers
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

Double check that the Android device is compatible as I have new Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 (Wifi only) and its NOT.
It seems not all Androids are the same, like the old advert for Oils.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

Not that I would bother, its too much of a #### around and buggy to boot.

You did, and I actually saw your post in my search criteria but the little device I want to use I don't think / know is rootable or not and too be honest at $30.00 bucks I don't think I'll bother to see if it is or it isn't - I was just looking for an android option. My laptop option is working well at present, I might just stick with that
    Thanks anyway.

At a guess, I would say you wont get far with it. Foxtel seem very keen to try and make life as difficult as possible for people using Go by restricting it to what devices they want and have full control over.

Sounds like Sat TV all over again doesnt it ? Unfortunately no one with knowledge will step up to the plate these days and try and have a crack which is disappointing.

Yeah, what can I say - sign of the times I guess.
I don't condone it (the lack of participation) but I do understand - we all seem to be becoming more and more secular (I can't explain it but it seems to be tantamount to 'What's mine is mine and what's yours will be mine as well as soon as I can steal it)

I have a feeling thats its not Foxtel being selective but that these O/S all have their differences and its making up a 'Driver' to suit all thats the problem.
Recently I wanted to add an APP called Real Estate.com that I have on the Aldi 10 inch tablet that I had downloaded onto the Aldi tablet from the Google Playstore but I could not find it in the Google Play store list when I used the Samsung.

I posted in the Forum regarding this problem and emailed the company who said it didnt work for Android (???) anyway, if that was the case, why was it in the Google Play store and I had downloaded it onto the Aldi tablet?
Some 3 or 4 weeks later I was skimming through the Google Playstore and there was the bloody APP as large as life!!!!!!
I have downloaded it and it works on the Galaxy the same as the Aldi but why didnt it before?
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

If you cant find an app, use a PC to go to the Play Store find it and click download. You will then have a choice to download it to any compatible device.

Foxtel is being selective. The fact they wont even allow you to have root access to your own device shows that.

Those two words say it all !!!
I tried to download the APP onto the computer but I kept getting the message that I had 'No Devise Connected' so it wouldnt download.

It's impossible to download an Android app from Google's Play Store to your desktop PC / laptop. Hint: The powered-on Android device must be in same active WiFi-network as the desktop PC / laptop. Then it works.
