i fondle my way thru most stuff but im sorta stuck here
i still use old cubecart for ecommerce but its only v3 in cpanel in hosting
v4 is dead but v5 is free in limited version
but needs to be installed\upgraded thru ftp & cpanel database
i get to the upgrade part but wat db & tables has got me

Did you use this ? If so, where is the problem? Can't see any hurdles not surmountably.

If I'm right all you have to do is to enter a URL ( i.e. the domain where an instance of CubeCart should be installed to ) to install CubeCart: The URL entered will determine where the files will be installed and where the application will be viewed in a web browser after installation.

What you should know:

CubeCart is utilizing a dedicated FTP program as the quickest and easiest way to install itself at the host server named. In order for CubeCart to be able to connect to the respective host server through an FTP client, they need to have rights to access that server. These authorization access rights are assigned to users by their hosting providers in the form of FTP accounts.

ended up just doing it through ftp
