Interesting, I'm curious, just plugged a 2597LMT into Garmin express, says map is up to date with 2014.20??
So where does 2014.30 come from?
    No ASR, JCV, etc??
    Cheers, Tiny

Version 2014.30 is available on a couple of other sites as well, with 3D etc.

I'm guessing some versions are released for some models before others.

Do the other sites have JCV file of any type with the Map?

Just checked GPSunderground, says "Not yet released" above the links, therefore my guess is this is a prerelease from Navteq, not Garmin, that's why no secondary files other than 3D.

JCV files are somewhat specific to the model. But with what is posted on that other side I would hazard a guess that the pre-release from NAVTEQ may be correct.

I used to believe that too, however I'm not so sure now? As I loaded the last Navteq map 2014.20 & JCV file onto my 1490T & it gives a full screen Junction view. Then I bought a 2597LMT, updated to the same map via Garmin LifeTime map Updates & they loaded the same JCV file which gives a split screen view of Junction (half screen)??

Update; Garmin released full version last night, secondary files & map loaded on my GPS.

So I would expect this thread will soon be updated to contain the rest of the files.

Something strange about that SQLite file number, I already have that on my 1490T Dated 1/02/2013?

The SQLite file number on my 2597 which was just updated from Garmin to this map set, is D3486090A.db 31/10/2013?

Here is my 1490T SQLite folder contents from backup last month.

How do I know which *.jcv file to copy over to my device? Or do I just copy them all over?

    FYI, I'm running a Nuvi 50.

    Cheers.

Actually yes you could just put all 3 junction files & it will probably select the right one, or it might confuse your GPS, however my best guess for that model Nuvi would be the D3531090A.JCV.
    That's what's on my 2597LMT & 1490T.
If that gives you the wrong view, then try another.

As for that SQLite file in post #8, I'd just leave it off, you don't need it for your unit to function.
Or you can add it, it's on my 1490T since Feb & GPS works fine.
The original backup of my 1490T only has the last 3 files in the image I posted in post #9.
Had so for 2 years from early 2010, as no one ever posted these secondary files with Map update file until recently, actually not so recently, around December 2011.

For those that just can't live without the SQLite file, here is the right one.

Thanks Tiny, I'm not sure that I have ever seen a JV display on my unit, it's a 5" widescreen display but I think it is supposed to split screen the JV, is that what your two units do?

    Cheers.

Hi MultiSlayer, yep that file does split screen on my 2597 & full screen on my 1490.
Load it then check by: select a destination in a city nearby, then click go, after calculation touch the bar at the top & it will bring up the route turn by turn, scroll thru until you're being shown a city hwy junction, then touch the junction to view on map, if 'Junction View' highlights then touch it & you will get a demo of what it looks like, if not try another one by scrolling thru.
    Cheers, Tiny

    Hi Tiny
Not that I can't live without that file Iam replaceing it as you recommended in your post "Transferring Map Files to Garmin GPS" on or about 25-12-11. Also when replying to my post regarding updating files for "CNAUNZ2013.40 Sensis" on or about 19-07-13.
    No hassels.Just checking that's all.
    Cheers

I think I get where you're coming from.
Yes, in my tutorial I did say that you should update the SQLite folder. Have probably said so a few times since then, as that it is what I've been led to believe in my research on other forums. Unfortunately, I'm never satisfied with doing things just because, so I'm investigating more possibilities. Unfortunately I can't edit what is in my old posts, including the Tutorial.
    What I've noticed is:
1; an inconsistency in the files being posted & what's being updated on my new GPS that has lifetime updates, so I'm starting to think a lot more about it.
2; It is only for TrafficTrends, which is not necessary for your Map & GPS to operate & navigate you to where you want to go.
3; I suspect the file just adds or subtracts info from another file in the GPS software that is considered when calculating a route. Not sure which one yet.

    Hope that helps.
    Cheers, Tiny
