Default Panasonic TH-P50ST30A 7 Blink SOS

    Hey All,

    Panasonic TH-P50ST30A 7 Blink SOS.

The MRS was watching TV and the Pana decided to switch itself off with a 7 blink sos.
Working through the 2011 - Technical Guide and Troubleshooting Flowchart, I believe the P board to be the culprit as I have no Vsus at pin 1 of SC2 as per the below flow chart.

Am I barking up the right tree here?
I also conducted the SU/SD/SC resistance test and I get 2.6k ohms at IC724 pin 3. Should this be greater than 10k ohm?
TPSC1 (R515) gives a floating resistance starting in the 10m ohm range and very slowly falls.

The SC board is TXNSC11GGK50. (top number white sticker)
    The P board is TXNP11QJUE46.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check the fuses on the Y-sus and Z-sus boards . If the fuse has gone on one of them than that board is faulty
If the fuses are ok check the voltage at the fuses on both boards to confirm there is voltage as per the panel sticker
If there is no voltage available then suspect the power supply board

The Y-sus is the big board on the left and the Z-sus board is on the far right hand side

    ok.

This is the layout of the boards.

No fuses that I could find on any boards apart from the P board and they are intact.

SC is the Y-sus, SS is the Z-sus.

I've never worked on this model before, but if you give another user here called CHRISS a PM, he might be able to help.

    HI krustyone
disconnect the SC plug from power pcb and the flat lead from control pcb from sc pcb and see if the blinking change
    must disconnect that flat lead
we dont get a lot of power pcb s faulty normally the sc bord drags the voltage down and get power sos
can check the fets on sc pcb for s/c

    Hi Chriss,

    Thanks for your help.

With the SC plug and the flat lead disconnected, the tv gave 8 blinks.

What I did get this time which I haven't before is the green led on the SS board light up.

Vsus also comes up to 207v before shutting down.

Sounds like the SC board yeah?

    Default Same problem

Thought about ordering some more fets for this board but only seem to be available off Ebay from China. Make for a cheap repair . Or I can order one from here for $206

I have the TH-P50VT30A with the TXNSC11GGK50 Board . Not sure if the updated board Chriss mentioned is an improved version. Have emailed bigwarehouse to confirm part no of 2nd board they have but will post back when they reply.

Interested to Know the price of a SC board delivered from the other suppliers or any Aussie FET suppliers
