I have power loss when trying to move my dish. The Power goes to 3-4V and I have to disconnect all cables for a while and after the power returns to normal....if I zap again, the motor stops again..!
My motor turns without lnb. I have try different types of lnb's but with no result.
If I try this trick it will fix the problem ??

    Thanks.

Try a higher rated powersupply (more amps)

The more power will be at the input, the output is limited to 500mA. Is this correct?. So If I change the input A the output will be the same?. I wander if the previous "trick" fix this problem or I have to buy another power supply?

Guys, if you want to know if the LNB Fix is your issue,

Measure the resistance of the transistor to see if its stuffed, it will be open circut if it is.

Same goes for the fuse that supplies/protects this circuit (yellow wire)

If these components measure ok then this is not your problem and you must look elsewhere.

If either one of them are open circuit, bridge it with a wire and check if it solves the issue.

    Hi,

My problem with the LNB voltage is that the box provides only 18-20V no matter what transponder I select to scan: V or H.
This means I'm stuck only with H transponders because V can't be locked (there is no switching to 13V).
To bad, I read the posts about DM500 earthing after this problem appeared.

Otherwise the box looks OK, I can connect to it on LAN and performs flash on serial as expected.
Until now I tried only software solutions (original image, GP400 and Nabilo). No luck.

I would really appreciate if you can give some advice on this issue.

    Thanks,
    W.

We have the logic diagrams in another thread which will reveal to you the component that is responsible.

    It is not expensive.

Use the search button above to find the logic diagrams.

Then take some voltage measurements around the area and we may be able to solve for you?

We don't like to do all the work for you, but like to assist you to help yourself.

Yep, I have the diagrams already.
I was hopping it's something trivial and with a well known fix. Like I found for the 0 LNB voltage.

Too bad, it looks like it's going physical...
Any advice on where to start and what to check first?

    thanks,
    w.

Thanks, I was meaning more like what components to check.

For example, assuming I measure a correct switch on 13/18V CTRL signal.

What can be some logical reasons (based on the diagram) that can cause the constant upper voltage (18-20v)?

    Cheers,
    W.

    Fernbay,

Please help. I zapped my DM500s while experimenting with LNB installation... I should have unplugged it before I removed the cable... Learned the hardway... It appears that I have busted the Q72. I hope you still have some left. Sent you a PM.

    Thanks
    Ray

Always looking for the easy way out dude, do it right the first time and you may not have to replace your board down the road.

Well I told them the part from that link you gave me. They ordered it and got a "professional who does electronics of some sort" He had no idea and i was told it was the wrong part.... so now they want to bypass it. lol

I could have done it like you told me tagg but they are not in my state and didn't want to spend the money on sending it to me. Now there up for $50..

It's all a bit backyards to me, how that worked out lol.
