I just want to know where is this radio comming from that I payed you for last year??? You told me that I should have the radio by XMAS. Which XMAS are you talking about??? Definetly wasn`t the 2007 XMAS as I still haven`t received it.

Thanks for the info on this D*ckhaed. I have tryed e-mailing him on other addresses and via pm`s on here. Never have received a reply. I have just e-mailed him via the one you sent me.

If I dont hear back from him in a week, i`ll be posting a negative (buyers beware) in the buys/sellers section so hopfully no one else gets ripped by this D*ckhaed.

Ham radio is a bit of a dying hobby. Most of the guys/gals are older folks who had no Internet or computers when they were growing up..a good portion were in the CB craze in the late 70's and progressed from there (like me). Or people that have moved on from the crappy UHF CB world. Not all tech heads, they range from bus drivers to scientists.

There are lots you can do, depending on your interest..and budget, although you are allowed to make stuff yourself if you want.

There's DX (long distance , around the world sort of stuff), short range general chat on VHF/UHF (some Internet linking so you can have a yabba to somebody in just about any country you can mention), Digital modes, position tracking, more obscure/challenging stuff like Satellite work (sometimes can talk to the Shuttle when there is a Ham on board) and moonbounce.

A lot of the stuff is of no interest to kids today, with the penetration of Mobiles and Internet..

I think he must of had a read around here as he has replyed to 1 of my e-mails today. He said that he has been sick and will be posting the radio tommorrow. Well I guess i`ll have to sit and wait some more hey.

hamguy, AKA David Leach, banned just about everywhere including E-bay, fails to deliver when it comes to sending gear, also has another trick buy's stuff, pays by COD, then forgets it's at the post office, So it sits there until he thinks about telling them to send it back.
I had a run in with him years ago, ended up paying him a visit. he hid under the bed, and sent his Mummy out So take a bunch of flowers Don,. Actually Don's your best bet.
