This could be the one your after Cat sf2189
Hi all,
I have a blown fuse of the glass cylinder type and need to know what to replace it with.
It is from a wax heater [from a beauty salon] that is 250V 50 W rated.
The fuse has on one end F630mAL 250V
The 250V is easy enough but the rest is unknown
I have a jaycar catalogue but they have M205, 3AG and 5AG fuses in various ratings listed only.
Any help?

250V @ 50 W = 200mA
By reading this, you have already given me control over a tiny slice of your mind
It stands for 630mA and F is for fast. The fuse has on one end F630mAL 250V
You may find it difficult to source a 630mA fuse - just put a 1 amp fuse in its place - it will be fine. Find one that fits - ie the appropriate physical size, and yes, F = fast blow.
Thanks everyone, It's a lot clearer now
As covert pointed out, the device uses 200mA. So if a 630mA fuse burnt out, I would have second thoughts about putting in a 1A fuse!
If it is just a heater without a motor or transformer, then there is no need to account for an additional startup current.
250W is plenty of power to start a fire without the fuse blowing.
If you can't get the 630mA (it is a standard value) then I would suggest to use 500mA.
