    Default Android tv sticks

I thought I would try one of these to play with.

Pretty good value at $35 delivered...a lot cheaper than elsewhere

For watching Youtube and surfing the net, maybe even to stream a video over the network to the TV,
but gaming or touch-optimised programs ??
You cant substitute accelerometer sensors and a touchscreen with a keyboard and touchpad...
I hope it is at least one of the never models that has the sensors built into the remote? If so a user review could be of interest.

At 35 bucks you could get a Chromecast, which does the same thing but more elegantly and running a purpose-built OS. It also has official support from Google and increasing support from developers.

This thing looks pretty neat but you might as well have spent a bit more and got an ouya then you would be able to use controllers and play controller based games on it and such.

HA, what a joke. The OUYA is a mess. It was underpowered from the moment it came out, being beaten by the nexus 4, which is in no way top-of-the-line. And without the Play Store, it's missing many great games. It had little to no support, and it just flopped in general.

    Just an update here...

The items gulliver and I ordered and paid for never arrived. We paid by paypal, reimbursement of my money completed by paypal.

I now link you to these, if you are interested.Same supplier has both items...not supplier we ordered from originally.

I am also checking out other reviews about the device before I can make a purchase. As soon as I get mine, I will coming back to this post to update it with positive or negative remarks.

Looks good.... I'd like to see if it works like they claim.
If they came with a DTV tuner, it would make some of the older Flat Screen Panels not so obsolete

is very good, I set up about 10 of them (xbmc), lovely remote control, very fast WiFi chip.
Buy only good box as they got lot of support, some cheap chinese sticks are hopeless, also more input connection is allways handy

Can they handle 1080p over WiFi?
