Default Hose Fittings - Keep blowing off, suggestions

For 20 years i have suffered hose ends blowing off both ends, there is no way i can use a trigger nozzle and leave it closed with the tap on, it will blow it off at the tap.
Water pressure is probably 800-1000Kpa at the tap.
I have used the Plastic Gardenia and the brass Neta for years, they all fail. No matter how hard and neat you terminate the fittings.

Can anyone suggest a good hose solution?
I see there is that new Hoselink on TV and Hozelock.... Anyone tried them?
Is there a commercial style fitting i could use?

    Cheers

You must have a very high pressure there but not being a plumber all I could suggest is putting a flat METAL washer with a small hole in it, say half the diameter of the washer in a metal fitting on the TAP end to reduce the flow which is all they do in these so called 'Water Saver' fittings.
By starting with a small hole you can always enlarge it get the flow you want from the hose line.
Other than those machine applied compression fittings I have no ideas.

I have the Hoselink ads on TV as well but no idea how it would be with your problem.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

Yes, i had to install a reduction valve where the 1/2inch copper line ran into the house, as the pressure was killing Flick Mixers and the water hammer from the washing machine solenoids was intense.
I installed it in such a location that it left the outdoor taps with full pressure... Hence.... nothing hangs together too long

I would be trying Hoselink as they guarantee never to blow off.

I recently purchased one of the with their Permafit solution.
We also have very high water pressure and I've had no problems since getting this type.

In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.

Strangely i'm on top of a hill, you'd think the pressure would be low.... But it blasts!
You have to be really careful using things like a Pressure Washer, that you dont open the tap passed a 1/4 turn or it just leaks all over the place.

Going to give Hoselink a try.

Geez, their range has expanded, pressure washers and some handy products for your car or boat.

Ignoring the comments on the daughter we had a completely new water supply installed in Village a few years ago.
This involved a good sized reservoir located at the highest point above the Village and gravity feed to the houses via 100mm Plastic mains tapped off to copper pipes to each house, oddly enough the lowest house had the worst pressure.
This house is about 150 feet lower than the tank but I was told water just flowed from one tap but turn on a second tap in the house and it dribbled !!
I never heard what was the problem or what was done to fix it but presumably they did.
We all noticed after this was finished we didnt have the same pressure as we did from the old installation, this was put down to the copper pipe used to connect us to the mains was too small.
The pressure is adequate and now Council charges for both meter rental and all water used, this lower pressure does help keep the bill down a bit.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

Where i live, the water it self costs near on nothing... its all the monthly charges that cost!
I had a house, and no one was in it for a year, no water used... And the annual bill was about $120 less than the house i live at and use the water all the time for showers, the garden, washing up etc.... Now i just let the water rip.

Anyone interest in Hoselink, catalogue below:

The reason that the lowest house had the worst pressure, Gordon, is that old problem, friction. They did not design the system properly and, I'd wager, that they used the same diameter pipe all the way from the top of the hill to the end of the run, probably with no return line either. The diameter of the pipe was probably too small for the actual flow capacity. Regardless of pressure, a small diameter pipe will not deliver as much water as a pipe twice the diameter and even 1/4 the pressure. Have alook at on Fluid Dynamics.
