    Default 4 way splitter

    is a 4way splitter with all leg power pass can it be used with a masthead amplifier or do I need one with one leg power pass? this is for terrestrial antenna.

    i would guess that a single power pass leg would be best. you dont want power going down a leg that presents a DC short to this power. A lot of Balun's appear as a DC short to power but not to RF (AC).

    have used before but had a few failures they are diode steered, good to use in mdu's where p/supplies are taken or turned off etc. Still can't beat single p/pass one leg KIS (keep it simple).

    For my money you can't beat an all ports bypass as the power supply can be plugged in any where but best option is cut it in to the coax between the splitter and the amp then it can sit in the roof, do it's thing and nobody is any the wizer.
