    Default Karaoke software

    Hi guys,

Not sure if this is the appropriate forum. If not, apologies. Please direct me to the relevant forum.

Basically, what I want to do is make a karaoke machine, that is very similar to the ones you see at karaoke bars. This is clearly possible, because the ones there run WinXP/2K (you see this whenever they reboot it because of a problem.)

To cut a long story very short, does anyone know what software the computers at karaoke places run? I've hunted around the internet for all sorts of software but not really seem up to scratch.

I can basically do everything else, but am simply missing the crucial piece of software. Basically, I want the thing that lets me:
    - Use remote control input
    - Allows you to choose songs (on a separate screen or if not separate, allows direct input) and then queues them up
    - Standard features like vocal on/off, pitch and tempo adjustment
    - etc.

Anyone know any good ones? I'm not after the basic ones that let you open one file, plays it, then you need to open another one. It needs to be able to generate the playlist based on input on the fly...

    Thanks for any help guys.

I use a program called the Jukeboxer, its a jukebox and karaoke, I run it from a pc, and 2nd monitor output to a 68cm TV for the karaoke lyrics, works a treat!
