Default Fake Solar feed in tariffs

I came across this in my letterbox the other day.

The feed in tariff in Victoria is 8 cents.

Companies such as this use methods such as overcharging or not passing on the government subsidies, to then give you a "premium" tariff until 2016.
Its designed to create confusion amongst people thinking about getting Solar and thinking they are getting a better deal than what they really are.

Thats if you register within 14 days and agree to a "home energy assesment" (claimed to be valued at $250) of course.

pay the tariff (and all links to further info on their site dont work - convenient) and the solar company is who also have no information whatsoever on their website about this pamphlet.

Like those Telemarket deals on TV where you have to ring in during the 'Next XX' minutes to qualify for the deal but I wonder if you rang in after 16 days, would they say you were too late, ehh???
Most likely not simply because they really dont know when you received that pamphlet in the mail and their not going to knock back another Mug's money, are they?
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

Sounds like the guarenteed returns on the overpriced Queensland investment properties. So they overcharge by $2000 and then give back 38 cents/ Kwh probably on the NET feed in for two years. That might cost them mmmm $500 if your lucky. RIPOFF

Absolutely. Though I reckon they would probably overcharge by as much as $5000 given the government subsidies depnding on the system size.

It seems I was being generous in regards to the scamming.

People are reporting quotes of between $15,000 and $23,000 for a standard 5 kw system.

It would seem that this company formerly traded as United Renewable Energy

They went in to administration and have reinvented themselves as "Genlux ".

you would think $15 000 for a system worth $7000 if you take the time to make 2 phone calls or look online would be enough research to put people off but I guess you never know...................

At a guess a lot of people (enough to keep these and other scammers going) dont do their homework before committing.

It shows the value of a 2 minute Google though doesnt it ?
