Default Laptop hinge gets very loose

I have a Macbook laptop, and I have owned it since year 2003. I have noticed that the hinge is getting loose and I am afraid that it will break sometime soon. I want to know what should I do? I don't want to buy a new laptop because I can't afford it. Is there any way I can fix the hinge from getting loose?

It's best to replace the hinge entirely rather than attempting to fix it.

That happened with my Nintendo DS too, but a bit of the hinge chipped off; it's all flappy at this point.

But unless you know your way well around a laptop/Macbook, a replacement is easier and faster than tinkering around with it and trying to fix it. After a few hours, you might even realize that you can 't fix it!

Yeah I think it will better replacing. Trying to fix something that is that old might just lead to more problems. Make sure you take it to a trusted repair shop you do not want amateurs handling your Mac.
