Both working here in Sydney, signal quality on RAI is not as strong as it was on the other transponder

Looks like it's back to where it was a few years ago signal wise... anyone who put in a 1.8mtr dish is going to struggle!!

probably going to see lots of LNB's need work going from Vertical to Horizontal too

Go into the menu and do a blind scan, that should pick it up

TVE Symbol is 28125... (not 28100) Picture quality is bad. Fast motion has lots of tiling

Satellite is essentially the same it's just moved to a new transponder.

If your receiver doesn't have a blind scan function you need to manually add a new transponder

You need to add or edit an existing transponder and set the frequency to 03805 MHz, polarity to horizontal and the symbol rate to 4726 and if you have an old box that needs the fec set then set it to 2/3 . Once this is added you need to scan this transponder. The new rai will appear at the end of the channel list and you will need to delete the old one.
Sometimes a factory reset is best before you add the new transponder

If you do this and either still don't get it if the signal is breaking up you probably need some professional help, I have come across a few single polarity lnbs that need to be changed from vertical to horizontal

In the South East solar eclipse (outage) is on until the end of April.. At around 4:30 Asiasat 5 is effected, no signal for about 10 minutes

Looking at the dish, you can see the feedhorn shadow is in the center of the dish, as the earth turns the shadow exits the center and the satellite reception resumes.

    Expect the same during September.

Thanks, the blind scan did the trick! Now one more question, is there only one Italian Channel?

Only one Italian channel free to air. You can get more on the web, just download the player from this link and you will get 12 free live channels in good quality, you just have to register.
