Yeah, well I think I will just get over it and put up with it. 30 channels of crap anyway.
Watching too muck telly anyway, I'll just crack the sh1ts and get outside and do something a bit more constructive.
That'll teach me to move up the bush, won't it?

Muddy, that you and others like you now have a TV service they never had before is a great step forward but by the same token, I really dont think the 'providers' care too much to ensure how good it is so long as it conforms to a minimum standard.

I was in Sydney recently at a Hotel in Castlereagh street and I was surprised to see the FTA channels pixel every few minutes, far more often than I see on my TV here.

Since the last posting on this subject, the ABC pronlem slowly cured itself. Over the last few months there has been no problems at all.
BUT, last week we had to go through the re-tuning procedure for the channel changes that have been happening and now the old signal problems have re-appeared this time on the 7 network channels...BUGGER!
Am I to assume the new 7 network frequencies are located where the ABC frequencies were? If this is the case, I will assume there is a problem inside my TV itself.
Confusing, ain't it? (Well it is to me, anyway.)

Muddy, according to the 'Myswitchdigitalready' site Gulargambone uses the following frequencies for your area.
As an address to get the info I chose the Caravan park.
Unfortunately now the changeover has occurred, it doesnt show the old frequencies.

All channels are on VHF Vertical polarisation.

ABC uses channel 12, 226.5 MHz.

    Prime (7 affiliate) 6, 177.5 MHz

    Southern Cross 11, 219.5 MHz
    (10 affiliate)

    SBS 7, 184.5 MHz

    WIN (9 affiliate) 10, 212.5 MHz.

Note these are the channels they are broadcasting on, NOT what you see on the TV or STB display, you see 2,3,5,6,9 etc.

There may still be some hiccups in the broadcast causing this pixeling so I would again suggest asking your neighbours if they are experiencing the same problems before doing anything else.

Have you replaced your antenna since the channel restack?

You now require a band 3 VHF (only) antenna, vertically polarised.

The previous channels were mostly on UHF bands 4 & 5 with the exception of ABC which was on VHF RF channel 12 and still is.

All the other channels moved down to the VHF band.

ABC frequency is 226.625MHz not 226.500MHz (note the 125kHz offset, which you may need to enter into your tuner manually.)
