Default Rear view mirror GPS... Help ?

    Hey guys,

I recently purchase a rear view mirror gps/reverse camera.

The only downside is; that its made for American cars and the screen is on the left hand side instead of the right.
At night its perfect as there is no sun glare, but during the day its pretty hard to see the screen due to its angle.

I'm planning on flipping the entire mirror so its upside down, this way the screen will be on the right; does anybody know if it would be possible to flip the orientation of the screen so the display wont be upside down anymore ?

I'll upload some picture to help !

    Thanks a lot

First pic is what it looks like now with glare and second pic is where i want it to be but with a flipped screen

    No link to any images.
Also, what is the make and model is the unit as those details may be helpful to others to answer your post.

    Have you asked the seller?
I doubt there is a setting but there may be a code in the screen driver that could be changed .
You would need to be able to access the MPU which is probably proprietry.
    Have a nice day

Yeah I had a chat to the seller, but he had no idea.

I was hoping that I could find a way to do it whilst in wince 6.0
like on windows if you hold shift + alt and one of the arrows you can flip your screen.

would this make any sense to you guys ?

Without sitting in the car and seeing it for myself, I rather prefer having the GPS to the left with the Rear View in my 'line of Sight'.
I am guessing because there appears to be a line of controls on what we will call the Bottom of the display (GPS screen LEFT) this was never intended to be installed any other way.
I have a rear view mirror with Reversing Camera fitted and it can invert the camera image and rotate it about but for what reason I could never understand, and it is all controlled by either R/C or the buttons on the side of the display.

A long time ago I tried a double length mirror on a Station wagon thinking it would reduce the 'Blind spots' but I had to remove it because in Daylight, the glare made it virtually useless.

hey guys, haven't been here for a while, but I've actually gotten used to it and don't mind having it to the left!
