    Default Limewire

I've got Win XP Pro with SP3 runs fine no probs. There are 4 user accounts, 3 run Limewire with no trouble, the 4th account loads Limewire but just stays saying starting connection without ever connecting. I've tried to work out what if anything is different without any joy. Have uninstalled and re-installed with same problem occurring. Anybody got any ideas?

    sounds like a profile issue..

    reboot your computer..

login as one of the users that works..

rename the folder C:\docs and settings\USERNAME (where username is the account name that is not working)..

Logout and login as the user that doesnt work.. this will re-create the profile..

It should now work.. though you will lose some of your settings.. so copy back favourites/desktop items etc..

If your not happy you can always revert it back the way it was..

The other thought that comes to mind is maybe this 4th account doesnt have enough priviledges to run it.. Ie not a local admin.

    YIKES!

What are you doing trying to use Limewire? Don't you realise it's full of poxware and viruses?

I wouldn't touch it if it was the last P2P program in existence.
There are plenty of other programs out there which are just as good that don't a$$rape your PC.
