    Default Stormfall pop up

Every now and again, this pops up in full page FF.

I have searched around my folders, and within registry, but can't find anything to kill.

    Malwarebytes Pro scans as clean.

There are links on the page to Plarium.com.

A search through programs and files reveals nothing.

It isn't a biggie to me, but I would like to be rid of it.

Anyone had this one before and fixed it?

    Thanks

I had no blocker installed...just added Adblock Plus.

Block pop up windows was ticked in options, no exceptions listed.

    Thanks..

I had the same problem after installing IOBit malware fighter and I accidentally hit OK on one of the ad garbage programs they make you go through to install it. Afterwards, on a regular basis, the Stormfall ad popped up in full screen Google. I tried AVG, Malwarebytes, CCcleaner and even IOBit MWF itself to get rid of it to no avail. Recently though, I came across a program called Autoruns which allows you to see every registry entry related to autorunning programs. Under the Task Scheduler heading there were 3 entries for Stormfall. I opened up Task Scheduler and under the Task Scheduler Library tab I found and deleted them. I deleted the registry entries also. They were apparently put there by a company called GetPose and were set to expire about 2 weeks after being scheduled, so even if you don't remove them they should go away by themselves. I also found some other dubious tasks while rummaging through Task Scheduler, it's amazing what kind of crap people install on your computer with their software.

Thanks...I had forgot to update this query.

I also got rid of it by using regedit, and found folders etc in my HKey folders and start up.

I deleted them also, and have had no woes since.

I have found, that even when you run any uninstaller, plenty of trash is always still left in folders in the pc.

    I always now check...
    Program Files
    Program Data
    Users/AppData/roaming
    Windows
    Registry/Hkeys/Software
