Found by turning off video acceleration on System Video settings on the Ouya it now can play the BBC streams properly

Pardon my naivety but can the MX BBC Player be installed as an add-on to the XBMCAddons Plugin for enigma2 boxes. Or is there future potential to do that?

No sure, so give it a try and report back and make sure you also install the F4mProxy first that is in my repo..

No refresh didn't tried PC and Ouya where do you find the log file do you have to change any settings to get a log file?

Log files that report most things can be found ..

windows something like;
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\XBMC\xcmb.log

Android someting like
Android/data/.xbmc/xbmc.log

Your box has not found addons.xml due to a local cache issue .. It found everything else, but no addons.xml (note the pural of addon.xml)

Hardware accelearation is only supported with gotham 13 from 30th of December 2013 for android devices

If you have installed via the xbmchub wizard, you will have the PROGRAMS menu, A FOLDER CALLED xbmc MAINTENANCE TOOL.

Open that and go to Delete My Cache, click YES.

Many other tools in that folder/menu as well.

This may help, rather than manually checking for any updates to your add-ons

In Confluence for example:
Go to System -> Settings -> Add-ons
Press <left> to focus the left side menu and enable "Auto Update"

Just built a new box today running Frodo 12.2 on Intel i5 Haswell NUC. Can't get MX BBC to run however. Every time I try to start it I get a "Script Failed!" error.

Any ideas Jonc? The MX World News & Thai addons works fine.

One of the required dependencies is not met as I updated on XBMCHUB (but can not do here)


Installation
1. This addon MUST be installed from the MX.repository (not as a stand alone zip file) as it has a dependency installed with it called f4mproxy by Shani_08. So download the repo here - MX Respository in Fusion and then select MX BBC Player from the repo to install it.
2. Download and install this script and install it before you run the MX BBC Player called script.module.t0mm0.common.zip else the player will fail. This is only required on new install that do not have the script already installed.
3. If you are using a box that can not download files add this to your system >file manager and do it via system > addons >install zip file the link is call it MX then go to system addons > install by zip file > mx > then plugin.video.mxbbc/ and get the script called script.module.t0mm0.common.zip (I will clean this up soon as it is way to messy)


I am guessing option #2 above, new install.

I have just discovered this add-on, which IMHO is superb.

Is there any possibility of a similar add-on for UK ITV programs?

the MX BBC Player is a direct hls/f4m streamer, and ITV is not in hls/f4m so not likely anytime soon.
