Question Papua new Guinea Sat Info Needed

    Hi All,
I'm going to be working in Papua New Guinea for a few years on an Island 2 hours N.E. of Port Morseby,Can anyone let me know if Optus D2 is available in this area as I'm hoping to get Setanta. Or can I get Foxtel up there with Setanta,Maybe with an Aussie address for the card? Would the Aussie free to air channels be able to be picked up in this region? Or any other channels be available? What type/size of dish would be best for this area?
Thanks in advance as I'm a little bit new to this but with some technical knowledge

New Britain can receive Aurora (12407) using a 3.0-3.7 kinda marginal, but viewable. Re Setanta on D2, I'd be inclined to try regardless, might pay to ask.

Hi Mate Optus C1 is recievable in Vanuatu on a 1.5 m prime focus dish with Ku LNB, not sure abot png but I doubt it.

I am reasonably certain D2 is not available (based on reports from colleagies in PNG) in Port Morsby let alone north of there. D2 has weaker signal than C1 and as far as I know both do not have a PNG beam.

    hope this helps
