Nothing really innovative. I did like the v10 touch RAS with the random scrambly keypad.

Have been using the touch RAS for close to a year now... I can assure you there were many hiccups early on. However, a few firmware updates later they seem to go ok. Only thing I dislike is the responsiveness. We're living in a time where smartphones have taken the touchscreen to a whole new level, using a touch RAS seems to lackluster.

I haven't seen it first-hand but I wonder how they pre-empted any patent issues with the Hirsch Scramblepad.

C'mon that thing is almost old enough that the patent has expired!

Either way, patents are only as good as the willingness and capacity of the owner to enforce them. After all, even the .

You are right though about a significant lack of innovation in this industry. They can't even keep pace with consumer technologies, and the only people who seem to do anything are the CCTV vendors, who now seem to be obsessed with adding yet more flaky analytics features to their products, since adding more megapixels finally became impractical.

I went and must say I was impressed with the new Ness system that was released, and for the price of the product it's sure a nice product for that price.

I even booked in for training while I was there.

PS. Nice meeting you MCman by the way

    hi Aaron,
Yes, the two new alarms system we are releasing this year are going to be huge for us. 2GIG is a great product and the SmartLiving system sits perfectly in between the DX and M1.
Its going to be a busy year with the Tri-brid system and NVRs coming in soon.
    Nice to meet you too.

    Hi George,
Yes, bringing in 2GIG. Rolling out it out in the next month or so along with our new budget and hardwired expandable automation panel.

No one else is bringing it out in Australia. There was another wholesaler going to do it, but that fell in a heap.

I reached out to them a few months ago to distribute here. Guess I know why they didn't respond lol. I like what I see.
