Warranty conditions vary, depending on the make/model/supplier.
I suggest you refer to the warranty terms and conditions supplied with your projector and discuss the issue with the store you purchased it from.
Hi everybody,
I am just wondering if anybody has bought a data projector and has had any coloured or black pixels showing up on their screen. I bought a projector some weeks ago and have had a blue dot there which won't shift. Does anybody know anything about warranty on these pixels showing up. Do you have to have a certain number of pixels lighting up before you can claim warranty? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks everybody.

i think generally though as a guide, you must have a minimum number of "dead pixels" visible at all times to invoke warranty terms, but as already stated contact the vendor

Is it an LCD or DPL projector? - some cheaper DPL's manifest what's referred to as a rainbow effect that can included dots of various colours - small shadows or Red Blue or Green.
In hindsight I should have posted my Facebook status as: "I've blown the head gasket on my 1997 XR3i" rather than "I've just buggered a 14 year old escort".
The police still haven't seen the funny side, my lap top's been confiscated and the wife has gone off to her mum's.
Hi Everybody,
I went back to my supplier of the LCD projector today and the salesman was very helpful with regard to the blue pixel showing up. He said it was a dead pixel (burnt out). Officeworks was the supplier and I would like to give a plug to Officeworks. The salesman had no hesitation in replacing the data projector as he said it was certainly a serious problem which he had never come across with an Epson projector before. A BIG THANKS TO OFFICEWORKS and everybody on this forum.
