    Default original Xbox and network

Hi there Hope this is the correct section of the forum.
My problem is when i want to watch a movie from my pc hard drive through my xbox i quiet often get no workgroup found.
What i have done to over come this in the past is to start my kids computer in the other room, search for that computer's name on this main computer using the "search for computer function". When that computer is found my xbox then is able to see the main pc and i can watch movies.
Im sure there is an easier way to do this, so my wife and kids dont ring me at work and ask how to watch movies.
    Any help would be great
    I'm running
    XPpro
using a tplink 4 port wireless router
the kids pc is connected wirelessly to the network using an access point
the xbox is cabled to the port in the back or the tplink router.
    Thanks
    MGLNJ

Happens to mine at times too. I have two xboxes on the network and it only ever happens to one.

With mine either restarting the the xbox or the pc solves it.
