Are home batteries practical?

Having acquired this device from a fellow member here, upon unboxing it I was overcome by a wave of nostalgia.... the look, the feel, the weight...the fact I still have ingrained in me 'muscle memory' of hold to pick it up and carry it, how to toss the handset on the table without fear of it breaking, that familiar tension of the curly cord...but it was a lot of the intrinsic, unique sounds the device makes that really caught my ear....so I grabbed this short on my Asus zenfone max for complete irony...
801 series phone. possibly 800 series there should be a stamped label on the bottom, possibly with serial/item number too.
I'm out of my mind, but feel free to leave a message...
Yep 801. Fixed, and installed a few of those in my time, too.

That's an interesting analogy ~ I think of automatic transmission hydraulic circuits/valvebody in the same electronics light...ie; electricity replaced with hydraulic fluid/pressure, check ball valves are diodes, shifter valves are power transistors (use 65PSI pilot pressure to switch 250PSI line pressure), calibration holes drilled in separator plate are resistors, accumulators become capacitors....my gearbox even has a hydraulic diac ...
But...not why I'm here....who knew east coast magpies could do mimic?
