    Default PS3 Firmware 2.42....

    Anyone getting an error message in the first part of downloading 2.42?
    It seems pretty common across other forums.

    Dam SONY r a joke, and worse, you are locked out of using the PSN Store or Playing online until you get the latest firmware, of which will not download.

    What a crock of shit these machines are.... We pay for them, but we don't own them!

    I had issues getting it to download and install properly but finally managed to get it done. I still had issues connecting to the store and PSN anyway afterwards. I ended up turning it off and playing some Halo3 - i think they were overloaded. Sad
