    Default solar voltages at 1.5kw

    Hi
    Does any one know what the voltage is going into a solar inverter that's can take a max of 1.5KW??
    I have 8 panels on the roof I know currents about 5.5amps whats the incoming voltage????

    Going on ohms law that would be 272volts, however there is no constant output for solar panels.
    It really depends on the grid connect inverter used & the installers wiring configuration.

    According to accreditation references the system voltage should be stated on a label in your meter box & on the inverter.

    Be warned it may be DC; yet it is potentially high enough to be lethal.

    It depends on the panels used but is probably in the order of 50V per panel no load.
    Don't worry, it only seems kinky the first time.
