I got my Olympus sp560 before Chrissy for $500, RRP is $900, very good camera indeed.
Has fastest sequence shot feature of ANY camera at 15 shots per second! Has the smile(or I'm not taking a photo) feature as well. Very good camer sub DSLR.

also has 18X optical zoom(not digital) and is the equivalent to a 25-427mm zoom.

Check it out mate as is a feature packed camera that will prolly leave many behind! Only 1 downside, can only use xD card.

I looked at that model Olympus and got the E410 instead.

$750 with twin lenses and an 8 gig compact flash.

Still haven't claimed the cash back offer...

I'd be inclined to go for something like the Canon superseded 350D.

    Less than $500 delivered.

Spend $200-$400 on a decent lens ie 17-85mm and your set.

Steer clear of the packaged lens kits that come with some bodies - they are shitters.

Spend money on good glass. Dont concern yourself with megapixels.

Great photography is 50% the photograher, 30% the lens, 10% the body and 10% your photoshop skills

My money is with Canon for the huge assortment of lens and their availability on the used market.
