RE Strong srt 4658
Hi my strong 4658 will not light up is there a built in fuse in it or do I have to buy a new one?
If I need a new one which one receiver be the best to buy as I don't know as I haven't turned on this one in 18 months

Haven't looked at one for a while & can't recall if they have a replaceable fuse or not.
I do remember them having some electrolytic caps issues in power supplies though. (eg: bulging/leaking).
Have a look inside yours for a fuse and signs of electro caps faults.
What to replace it with?... depends what you want to do with a decoder.
A lot of satellite signals these days are encoded in mpg4, which the old Strong couldn't decode, but later models of most brands will.
I'd recommend whatever you decide on, that it's mpg4 compatible.
No sign of life usually means psu is u.s. You can buy a new one from sciteq or strong. Or if you are handy with a soldering iron. Swap out the caps.
