I bought Kogan 55" 4K TV and still waiting to arrive sometimes next month. Would be nice to hear how those chinese android boxes perform with 4K content. There is not much 4K content but in the years to come it must be more and more.Have to buy one of those latest smart phones like OnePlus One,LG G3,Sony Z2 ...etc to make my own videos ...lol

Are these boxes, and i will include the M8, as it seems all about the same.... Are they all Software encoding or Hardware encoding?

Hope it goes well pheggie, looks like a nice box.
Be interesting to know what ROM runs on it.

the mx3 in the video has the same firmware as the M8 we sell, and frankly there is little difference in the UI , other than the M8 in our hot temps runs a bit cooler, the mx3 has some nice addons like the mini usb and a/v cables included. Both are great little boxes that run and run as you would expect.

The only word of caution is the xbmc version included .. most of the newer m8's come with version 13.2

Received it today plays 4K downloads from youtube great in 4K look really nice, XBMC seems to max videos out at 1080p setting so plays videos windowed at 4K resolution
Netflix works well. Comes with XBMC Gotham 13.2 installed. Plays 720p HEVC videos fine but doesn't like AC3 in Mp4 container with HEVC - silent.
