Look Here -> |
tradelink - plumbers co-op bunnings.
get a 45degree junction and 45degree male -female bend , install it so the
angle is at the top .then install a piece of pipe so it finnish's just below ground
level and then on that install a straight connector and cap.
dont say linux if i wanted it id install it
Clay or PVC? As suggested above for PVC or you may need to do a bit of stuffing around.
yes if clay you will also need a spigot adapter - collar adapter - 2x red rubber rings
they should be black but you will have trouble using them and red are softer which are
normally used for stormwater.
go back to the nearest down stream collar and remove pipe and put in spigot
adapter then same upstream connecting with the collar adapter.
when inserting you are pushing with even pressure to ROLL the ring
dont say linux if i wanted it id install it
Are you a plumber now too?
I saw the craziest connection used on sewer mains on a US Home improvement show.
They were replacing the whole system and had to reroute the 'Main Stack' (100/150MM) from the house to the Town side of the sewer.
The town mains were either cast iron or steel and the new was all PVC.
The connection was through the 'basement/cellar wall some 3 feet from the floor and they thoroughly cleaned the 'Bell' of the pipe that went into the wall.
They then firmly placed a PVC 'adapter' into the pipe before using 'Oakum or Flax' (about an inch in diameter) into the joint and pushed it into place.
They then built a dam level with the flange of the bell but leaving a gap at the top, heated a small shallow metal dish containing lead until it melted before pouring it into the gap at the top of the dam.
Lead sets fairly quickly so when it was, they then using a wooden dowel, went around the dam tapping it, the lead and 'Oakum/flax' into the joint to make a water tight seal.
Sealing it with lead/oakum/flax isnt new but what got me was the PVC adaptor didnt melt when the lead hit it.
While I expected to see neoprene rings or silicones used, I never expected to see lead and fibre used in a plumbing joint today.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
