    Default GPS Launching Program

    I was wondering if anyone here has the know how to write a simple program,

    I currently have 4 gps programs that I have on my SD Card, and to change the ones I use I have to change the path for the Nav Button,

    So I was thinking,

    What if there was a program that would load up a screen that would display the 4 logos of the 4 programs on the SD card, and then all you had to do was select the gps program you wanted,

    I know the guys who have the Avic style played from Pioneer have this thing called Leet Launcher, which pretty much does that, however it is also doing other things as well.

    So does anyone have the know how here to write a simple program that could do this?

    Hey Hollowman,

    I'd like to try one out as well - but when I looked at the link there were sooo many I didn't know which one(s) would work on my 2Din (remember the one I've showed you before - it has PIP ca[ability?

    All I want is to have a choice between Garmin and Igo8 when I select the Navi button.

    The Win CE5 section doesn't have an option for a screen resolution of 800x480 that I need.

    Which one did you use??? (and more importantly - do you think it may work on mine?)

    Regards

    Mike

    Pls provide a link if you can - only so I don't stuff up the selection!

    hi 2happy try this...

    this is 800x480 resolution

    unrar to ur desktop then open the systeminformation32..and see if you like this , before you copy to your memory card change first the pathways to the exact name of your memory card..

    to do this open Skin folder and open main.ini file and change all the pathways to the name off your card..

    now you can copy this to your SD card and u can open the systeminformation.exe on your unit

    this is what my menu looks like (i changed the icons to suite myself)
    good thing about it is that the pics are BMPs, just have to resize them to make them fit (resize it to the same as the original i think its 65x55)
    so what i did was google pictures/logos of the app and resized them and replaced original bmps... of course, edited the mainpage.ini to make it work
    the mirceo and gopal has no command as i dont have them apps, but you have to leave the icon there, coz i had trouble when i got rid of them lol. so when you click on the two blank ones, i get an error message saying "unable to load" or something like that, bloody chinese OS !!

    Talking

    Many thanks to both Yoff & Kukuk for this as it was just what I needed to complete this project

    I inserted a more appropriate wallpaper (didn't like the graveyard) and had to shuffle the buttons a bit but now it's close to perfect!!!

    Thanks for the program.

    I am unsure how to add more nav programs to the main.ini

    I know I can cut n paste then rewite the command and icons.

    What I don't know is, what do I change the x = 810 y = 60 to? I want all the icons laid out correctly on the page.

    In total I have seven nav programs, thanks to Hollowman

    Can you help me out please?

    which skin/launcher are you using, the universal one ?
    if so, dont touch the x and y ... just put the path and modify icon if you have to

    This is the one I am using, the other one was too complicated for this old guy.

    In the one above there is only three codes? and I need 7.

    oldsalt, i just had a look inside the ini file...
    im hopeless at maths but it appears to me that the all the X's are 125 apart from eachother

    so lets say you want to add another one it would be

    BITMAPBUTTON
    x = 310
    y = 60
    Command = \Storage Card\polnav\***.exe
    BitmapNormal = ..\Icons\polnav.bmp
    BitmapPushed = ..\Icons\polnav1.bmp

    I honestly dont know what the y number would be, maybe you to fiddle for a while until u get it in the correct position....

    I personally think that the universal unlock is better for you (the one im using) as it has more slots.... i can send you my unlock if you wish, as the ini file and icons are already done for you ...

    Yea, I worked that out.

    x must be the vertical position and I think Y is the column position.

    If I just add 125 and leave y at 60 then, I think the bitmaps will all be in a long line.

    If I knew what y would be to add a column then they may turn out in order across the screen?.

    What buggared me up on the universal one was getting apps and the launcher onto the nand flash and then what came after that.

    This one seems very simple, if I knew the x and y positions?

    I will have to muck around with it tomorrow, mind you I have no idea about it.

    Thanks again for your help Hollowman.
