    And why they are telling potential customers this is beyond me....

    Yep .. with an attitude like that it is a sure winner for Foxtel.

    Can't see too many plans being sold with large download limits.

    Of course they will also class Netflix as an 'illegal' downloading site as well.....I can a bright future ahead for Foxtel Broadband

    So Whats it to them what i download more the better for them as if i go over more to them. It's my responsibly if it's legal or not. Next watching you tube clips without the posters permission or the street performer will be illegal. The big NANNY world is here!

    i think you will find they will also block access to netflix according to the paper i was reading the other day,

    now i was thinking how can they block access to a website that isnt a illegal download

    you pay for a service you get the service albiet a tad grey

    It a legal 'grey area'. Netflix is not available to Australia, and the legality in the process of getting around the geo-block is still questionable. Plus it is definitely not allowed by Netflix. So Foxtel blocking it technically shouldn't effect anyone in Australia anyway

    That aside, think the numbers of Australians using Netflix (in some articles stated to be 200,000 people) is greatly exaggerated. Definitely for watching it on a TV anyway.
