Not only that but not everybody wants to pay a $1000 + when they can buy one for under $300 and in most cases the 'cheapie' does all they need.
A friend bought that $149 Aldi Tablet with 3G capability plus the $20 accessory kit and it works for him.
Ages ago he said he wanted to be able to surf the net and make and receive calls at the same time and this one does all that at a tenth the price of the M/S tablet.
As so many today carry their 'Tablet' with them as they do their daily commute or are just on the move, what would you prefer to have nicked, left on the seat or dropped on the road and run over by a City bound Bus ???

Funny isnt it that people were lined up all night for that new apple phone but Tablets just dont have that 'Must Have' pull on the market place.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!

Maybe that's because Apple didn't shove Windows 8/8.1 down peoples throats!

Personally I call it just deserves!

Believe me, anyone that has actual work (not play) to do will not enjoy doing it on an Aldi tablet when they can do it on a decent quality device.

It just basically comes down to a lot more options out there these days in the tablet market.

Because of the software or the hardware?
Usually it comes down to office products and Windows software...

ain't it amazing vnboost that you have a surface pro and enjoy and find it very purposeful but the line will be dropped because of corporate greed!

My son is in a similar field vnboost, and he, too, loves his surface pro. Wifey has a cheap android tablet, and it does everything I need. M$ need to review their pricing structure if they want to compete. I'm looking forward to the day when I can live without Windoze products all together. Sadly that is still a distant dream.

Price is way to high for what they are and the fact that previous Surface2 was hobbled with that RT rubbish didn't help.

    No dream here.
Only rarely some special hardware interfacing that needs the old WinXP.
Now if they had a tablet with true COM and LPT port that could handle XP, that would be a ripper

I like it a lot too, it's very helpful for school and everything, but I still feel like it's too expensive for what you get. It's nearly the price of a laptop for a tablet, which should normally just be cheaper.

i remember attending a training session.
people had their ipads and android tablets, i used a windows tablet, (not surface) and a stylus.
got through my 2 days of training really well, while scribbling.
watching people struggle typing was funny.

and when my current laptop dies, i'll be getting a surface pro.

they can do soo much more than little ipad toys
