a combination of price and not enough range.

Thats the big thing for most people. The cost of a new car , the starting price is way to high
when ppl these days are looking its the small hyundias etc in the 20-30k bracket
and even then it is stretching the budget.

i will more than likely never own one because no way in hell am i going to borrow 50k
to buy a car at my age . Also being a tradie my cars get bashed smashed and pushed
to the limits which is another reason i would not borrow to buy a new work van - ute.

Every time I leave town it's, at minimum, 100Km round trip. Town is only about 2km long.
