I would be very surprised if one code applied to all units as that would defeat the purpose of having an Anti Theft code.

    Try asking here........

I thought you got the code from a dealer or do they charge more than the Car's worth to tell you?

Pays to write it down 'somewhere' for just such situations.

The mechanic has advised he cannot see a problem after running the problem codes other than the ECU failing & the engine is mifiring in 3 & 4 in which a new ECU unit needs to be installed for $1000.00. Is this the norm for such a car???

Also as i purchased the car second hand and the codes have been reset i have been advised by my mechaninc to go to a Holden dealer to get my radio code so i can turn it back on.

Does anyone know the radio code for the Blaunpunt 520 for the Astra 2002 model vin: W0L0TGF6925207577 ? as this would save time and money rather than going to Holden dealer.

    Kind Regards

disconnect the battery for 30 min and then reconnect this will reset the computer

    What's the car's VIN number?

Read this thread. It tells you what you need to know.

The year doesn't matter. You need the serial of the unit which you have to pull out to get. It starts with BP. If you can get that then the correct code can be obtained.

Enf, I have had to go get the code from a Holden dealer years ago, it took them a few minnies on the comp to gain it, nothing had to be pulled out, I was hoping someone might be able to help without the $40 fee again. cross fingers.

I probably can if you can get the serial number. I am not a Holden Dealer.

Best I can do, sorry. The 520 just plugs in, so go to a mechanic and ask him to slide it out. It needs two tools that go in the four holes at the corners.

Once you have got the serial number it just slides back in and locks. That thread I gave you has all the information about putting the code in.

No No...it needs two U shaped notched probes, one for each side. When you slip them in they lock and enable you to slide the unit out. Putting it back involves just sliding it in until it clicks into place.

It's a specialist tool. You can buy them, but that involves money. I don't have a clue what they cost these days. Any car stereo guy would have them. They might just pull it out for you for a pittance.

This is the thing you need....
