I will have to get a satellite coaxial cable before I can do anything since I can't use the normal to coaxial. What cable should I be looking for that is cheap, under $20.
you have to use either the left or right socket to LNB in.The centre one is normal TV. Then switch on the box and see what shows up.Of course connect the A/V to your Tv.

Yes, everything on the first screen pic and the satellite on the second screen pic.
You don't need to enter transponder, polarity etc as blindscan searches all transponders on the selected satellite.
Everything must be configured correctly first before blindscan will work.
How did you go? You should have something on the signal bar.
This is the cheapest one that I can find at my local store, I don't want to purchase online.
Yes I know they come with adapters, but I might have to spend over $20.
Overpriced...... where are you located?

I forgot to have a look on Jaycar's website. But it is a lot cheaper
Theres always a lot of talk about where to buy cable from and over the years I have bought from Tandy/Realistic, Mitre10 and Bunnings, Jaycar etc etc.
I still have in use for Terrestrial TV, a 5 metre section of Coax from Tandy with the brown jacket, single core 'honeycomb' insulation because at the time, it was the best available 'over the counter' but compared with quad core RG6/11 used today, its rubbish.
At one stage I had 3 different lengths bought from Bunnings running around a 100 metres laying on the ground from the antenna which I was moving about looking for the 'sweet spot' to the TV.
I used PET bottles over the connections to keep water from them.
All these bits did the job I wanted in the short term but for longevity and conductivity, buy the best you can afford for a permanent installation because while you can put up an antenna today, but a few years down the track might be a different story.
I stand unequivicably behind everything I say , I just dont ever remember saying it !!
Isn't Tandy the same as Dick Smith, because when I went to 'their' website I got a dick smith pages
tandy.com.au
Anyway I would prefer to go to Jaycar since the prices are cheaper, Will going to Jaycar make a big difference to the quality of the signal, because I won't be using the satellite all day I just want to test it out.
If I do get the cable it will be on the weekend.
