Octagon SF2028 HD - No PVR Function?!
Hi Everyone.
Just bought a new SF2028 but it seems the PVR function does not work - even the record button does nothing.
Tried two different HDDs, formatted in the unit and updated to the latest firmware from Octagon (V5170), but even the "PVR Settings" don't appear in the menu (as the manual says they should).
Anyone have any ideas? Any help will be welcome.

There is - in "Storage Manager" I selected the device that I wish to record to. But I have a feeling something is wrong with the firmware. The PVR Settings (which the manual says should be below "Advanced Settings" in the list, is simply not there).
The manuals are outdated when they leave the factory! Is your drive formatted to fat32? What size drive?

Where did you buy it from? Did you try a factory restore after the firmware update.
It is indeed formatted to FAT32. 1TB capacity. Factory restore carried out after each firmware update.
Do you have a smaller drive to try?

FIXED!!!
Ended up writing an email to Octagon. They replied in a rather timely manner - turns out the firmware they have on their website does not include the PVR function. The guy sent me the V5170 + PVR firmware. Works beautifully.
