I take it that there won't be a meta for Australia 940_5966 anywhere?

Problem: I use Navcore 8.351 because it's faster than 9.510. I also don't like the 9.510 interface that has the letters and numbers on different screens (when searching POIs).
I used to pay for the maps, but stopped when TomTom Home required 9.510 and wouldn't allow me to download a map that worked on 8.351.
With the discount code on that link it gets down to almost $60 for a 12 month subscription. I can live with that.
If there's a way of getting an 8.351-compatible Australia map from TomTom then I'll happily pay the subscription and pass the meta codes around. Suggestions?
(And yeah, kicking myself for not knowing about this stuff and posting the meta codes when I was downloading a new Australia map every three months.)
940.5965 or 940.5966 are both fine with that older navcore.
What device have you got because if TTHome is telling you to update to 9.510 then it certainly shouldn't run slowly with the correct/latest navcore installed.
However, I would try harder to get used to the correct/current (??) 9.510 then you can run the fully featured 5963 map.
Try running clearflash.exe 3 times and/or reduce the number of POI's marked as "showing"
....or the last of these "basic" maps we have the meta for which is 935.5744

Yep, those two work with 8.351, but there isn’t a meta code anywhere for either map. Been looking everywhere tonight. Bugger.
TomTom 730 in one car and 930 in the other - those are (pretty much) the last and fastest TomToms that can be updated (ie before the storage formatting changed in 2010).
I need as close to instantaneous responses as possible. Navcore 9.510 is a tad slower than 8.351, and the interface for searching POIs on 9.510 is slower/clumsier than on 8.351.
I have on display only the POI categories that I use (which are all custom ones that I’ve created). I am often searching POIs with numbers, hence the frustration with the 9.510 interface - that one has the letters and numbers on different screens (ie one more click to get the numbers), whereas 8.351 has the numbers and letters on the same screen. I am regularly searching for T1/T2/T3/T4 (airport terminals), so I need for those characters to be on the same screen.
Yep, after searching high and low for a 940.5965 or 940.5966 meta tonight I finally gave up and put 935.5744 on both of them. I previously had 925.5409 on both of them. I normally update with each map release but metas have been harder to find this year and I didn’t fully understand how to check for meta availability until tonight.
Maybe the next version of FastActivate will have meta info for 940.5965 or 940.5966, or even better, 945 (when it comes out).

FastActivate is ONLY updated to include new metas posted by map buyers/meta sharers and is totally dependent on them so if we ain't got them, F/A ain't either
