I just bought 10 Bhut Jolika plants from Masters. Need more warm weather to get them going though.

All Religions Are Cults Just Some Are More Readily Accepted Than Others.
Have grown Peppers and Chili in the past, don't find it worth it for the amount of feeding they need vs yield
I have a mate who grew some 'Trinidad Scorpions' amongst others earlier in the year, too hot for me to eat raw but they are great in a casserole or curry.
My favourite was the 'Golden Habanero's' until some 'Chocolate Bhut Jolokia ' were given too me. Not as hot as the the scorpion but an addictive flavour, great in a salad roll !
If I'm lucky enough to be given some next year, I must remember to put on the 'Hazmat Suit'
.....I can still remember, " Oh, the pain.... the pain! "
Max.
P.S. I Freeze the chilli's that I can't eat, (they freeze well) and cut up frozen when required, then cook or just eat, less dangerous and still taste great !
For the next crop always save the seeds, preferably before you have eaten them.........

This is my first time growing chilli, don't know what they are was given some seeds.
Do you have to prune them or do you just let them rip?
Dash.
From what i was shown, you don't prune them, but you tip them on their sides to promote more shoots .
Encouraging fruit
Your chilli plants will produce flowers and then chillies on each of its sidestems so the more sidestems you have, the more fruit your plant will produce. If you want to increase the number of chillies your plant produces, you need to increase the number of sidestems.
You can do this by tipping your plant onto its side once it is a substantial size. The chilli plant will try to grow upright by throwing out a number of sidestems.
Once it has done this, turn the pot around so that the new sidestems are facing down and it will throw out another series of sidestems, reaching for the light.
Give the pot a quarter turn and once another set of sidestems have been started, turn another half turn. You can then return your plant to an upright position and wait for a bumper harvest of chillies.
Chillies can be pollinated by bees but failing that, they are also self-pollinating so a gentle shake of flowers will help ensure that they set. Once your chillies start to flower, start to feed with a tomato feed at the rate suggested by manufacturers to encourage fruit to set.
