Gaming Laptop Advice, Please!
Hi folks,
I am going to buy a medium/high – performance laptop for:
1/ Doing heavy symbolic and numerical calculations (on Maple)
2/ Gaming (FIFA, CoD, Battlefield, Total War series,...)
After doing a bit of research only, I am now having in my hand the following options:
1/ Digital Storm Krypton: i7 – 4710MQ, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX970M, 750HDD
2/ GIGABYTE P35W v3: i7 – 4710HQ, 16GB RAM, NVIDIA GTX970M, 256 SSD + 2TB HDD
Can you please tell me what you think about these and/or any experience you have had with the brands, similar PCs, and/or suggestions of other alternatives, please. The two machines above will cost pretty much the same, about 2600 AUD (I will have to import the first one from the States, directly from Digital Storm. THe second one can be obtained from MSY). A friend of my said that I can probably get one for about 2000 AUD. What do you think about that?
Thank you!

any particular reason you are choosing a laptop over a desktop? no upgrade-ability remember.
Of the twp options given, I'd take 2/.

the second better. I have pretty pld Lenovo z580, but is work good
I'm with Osirus, here, why laptop? Portability is one thing, but gaming ability always pushes the edge of envelope as far a technology is concerned and the day you buy a machine you'll find something better. With a desktop, you can, at least, upgrade a component if it is not performing as you'd like.

I'd recommend a Lenovo Y50. It will cost you around $900 USD if you can find an amazon deal or something. I do not know how much it is on Aussie retailers but do let me know if you find a good deal on it here.
Given the OP has only posted once back in January and hasn't visited the site since, there's little point advising them.
Looking at the OP's post again... it smells of spam anyway.
