    Default managed switch?

Haven't had a play with much gear except cisco so looking for some feedback Re support on other breeds eg 24 port.

My last straw today, new Asa arrived with very os, the entire point was to us asdm, but rolling back java etc is a no go for other reason. Ask cisco for an update given the age of the os in brand new product..go buy a service contract...wtf!

So thoughts on other brands attitude and support?

    Thanks

Yer. Cisco won't even talk to you without a SmartNet contract. My employer dumped Cisco for HP gear - basically because of the huge cost of maintaining SmartNet cover. The modern HP gear uses a CLI that's basically a rip-off of Cisco's CLI, so fairly familiar to Cisco people.

Yeah its like that these days, I'm glad to be stepping away from it. Mate uses hp and barracuda seems pretty good without the bs.

I have used Netgear but have upgraded to Ubiquiti POE switches. Great functionality and easy to use once you get the hang of it.
