    Default Birdman

I thought the acting was good from Keaton, Norton, Watts and Stone and although i got the gist of the movie it was too arty and slow to actually get into it - 5/10.

And what was with those bloody drums throughout the movie? They drove me to distraction.

Yes - a bit arty for me. I kept waiting for the movie to "get going", but it never happened. NFI how it managed to get such a good score on the IMDB. 4/10.

Yeah I agree, I thought it was "Whiplash" put on by mistake at the start.
I'm very cautious with movies that score well and win awards now, most are stinkers.
Boyhood, Birdman, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Frank and the list goes on.....

My wife made it to the 20 min mark, I stuck at it for 30 or 40.

Those damn drums.......wtf!!!! I hate arty films, I only stuck with it because of the Academy award and the actors. Do arty people seriously pretend to like this crap just to be arty?

The problem with films like this winning awards is it encourages other people to produce the same shit.
