Guys I heard there is a chip for PS3 its already out does anyone have any info about this??

Best bet is if you see someone selling or advertising them , Do not buy it , you know as soon as it happens the info will be posted here , so check here first and do not believe anything you see on the net (unless form a good source , but not from a shop) and do not believe anything you hear at the pub , as always it is always 'a friend of mine has this'
remember the million threads we had here about the xbox chip that would play ps2 games and GC games in the xbox

there no chip but u can always dump the iso on hdd... and hopefully some1 will find away to boot it...
Yeah, that is the theory and i wish it would happen. But the way they keep updating thier firmware, it may take a hardware change to negate their efforts.
It would be great to plug in an external Tb drive (via USB) full of games and be able to play them though. Kind of in the same way you can with a PSP and memory stick
well even if the firmware keeps changin Linux is gonna be the back door to booting thoses dumps... so u'll be looking at race between the modchip or bootable dumps
bootable dumps doubt it, even linux has been restricted as to what processors it can access on the ps3
sonys done a good job of keeping a tight grasp on everything, its the only console i can think of thats lasted this long?
You can only imagine how high priority secuirty was to them this time around
No need to build a new console if this one can't be cracked.
