Can anyone help?
Hi Guys,
just after a bit of help. I have $300 to spend on a GPS. I would like to use it for Car Navigation, for Geocaching and also use it for fishing on a boat and input gps locations. Also one that can be updated / modified, and use different software.
I hope that is not too broad.
Regards
Dan

If you need ocean maps, your only real choice is a garmin unit.
Thanks for the reply.
Thanks for all your comments, just wondering has anybody had anything to do with the Lowrance XOG gps.
Dan
Anyone heard of the Lowrance XOG GPS, if so is it good in australia and can you get maps for it etc.
Dan
Lowrance is not avail in au that I can see so you may have a real prob getting local maps.Good Idea though !!
Your best bet would be some thing like a trakmate For about $180
It is able to be updated and can run other software ,I've got TT7 and iGO8 on one.
It has a bread crumb track marker for bush walking that with a bit of ingenuity could be used out in the bay but I wouldnt be going too far out to sea with it or you could land up in the land of
