Default What is best way to join multiple AVCHD files to one file

I have a video camera that records 1080p AVCHD files. Many of my files are 1min, 5 mins, 3 mins etc.
Im after the easiest way to join all these files together into 1 large file. Ive had a bit of a look around and there are free tools that require you to use a few diffrent programmes, AND a few all in 1 paid programmes. Im ok to spend a couple of bucks for one of these all in ones but dont want a fizzer.
Does anyone use or have tried an all in one that they could recomend that i get or are the free tools easy enough to use?

If you want to join these files together like a professional, edit them, add background music, put Titles or credits on them, produce to file, youtube, BD disc or DVD, then I would look at Cyberlink Power Director, that's what I use.

I find it the best for ease of use for me & my wife.

You need this version or above for HD

I found a ripper of a way to join them.
Freeware and worked a treat. took a while to watch you tube clip on how to do this but well worth it.
looked daunting at first but now i use it every day.
