The trick of a SSHD is that in addition to the conventional HDD a NAND Flash memory (SSD) is kept, in which are copied to the most used games, videos, etc.
This explains the shortening of a video's / game's loadtime compared to a normal HDD.
As Seagate, a SSHD producer, states: 3-year limited warranty, what is a SSD's typical life span.
HDD life span (personal experience): 5-7 years
For me a SSHD is a useless bluff, is it not worth to buy .

What they don't make a big fuss about is the capacity of the NAND flash.
I have tried a couple of these in laptops and was surprised how small a capacity it is...8GB on my 1TB 2.5" drive. My understanding is that it stores files that need fast access to improve performance.
In the laptops I tried, the boot is a little faster but I have not found a huge performance boost.

Here is the results of an endurance test that ran on six popular SSDs to failure.
For most of my life, I lived a delusion
